Personalized one-on-one care in a private Burnaby studio, presented as the premium service it is.
Client challenge
Malu Alburqueque is a certified esthetician with a private studio in Burnaby, with a solid five-star Google rating. She offers personalized one-on-one care: nails, massage, facials and skin treatments.
The info that a potential client would need was available online, but scattered. The rating sat on Google, the prices in a highlighted Instagram story, and booking ran through a link in her bio. Nothing brought it together, and nothing presented her at the level she works at.
Our strategic approach
The site had to reflect the premium level of her service, and it had to be recognisably hers. Her own photos and her own words carry it.
Her trust signals are prominent. She earned the five-star rating and the testimonials that come with it, so a potential client should see them early rather than go looking.
We also gave Malu's own story real space. She is an immigrant who built this studio here herself, and a large share of her clients are Latin American immigrants too. Many of them recognise the entrepreneurship and the dedication because they also see themselves in it.
Solution
We designed a premium site that feels elevated and warm at once, borrowing from how the best salons present themselves while keeping it personal to her. A client picking an esthetician is choosing a person as much as a service, so the site has to look expensive and feel approachable at the same time.
We kept the palette in warm neutrals with a lot of space around everything, lit soft and diffuse, and let her own photographs of the studio set the tone.
The full menu is on the page with a real price on every line, so a first-time client knows what an appointment costs before committing to anything.
The rating and testimonials sit prominently on the page, pulled live from Google so they stay current on their own.
Booking is never more than a tap away. Calls to action sit in the header on desktop, and on a phone a sticky bar carries it along the bottom alongside WhatsApp and her number. We built the site mobile first, because that is where the booking happens. The links are built so the site gets credit for the appointments it brings in.
Results
The first draft came back approved with no notes beyond a few service prices, and the site launched at the end of July at agabeauty.ca. Her Google listing and her Instagram now point to one place instead of scattering people across three. She also has a login of her own, so she can see how much traffic the site is getting and request a change to a price or a line of copy without waiting on anyone.
